Diego Martínez spoke after the match against Real Valladolid, where UD Las Palmas secured a crucial win thanks to a brace from Sandro Ramírez.

The yellow coach was "very happy for the players and the fans. Obviously, it was a match as we expected. The team was very good with the ball, and you have to be able to translate that into goals. I think we deserved a third goal," he added.

Here are some of his statements:

"It has been an extraordinary week, and I can only thank the team for the effort they've put in."

"We are very happy for Sandro; he made a big effort to recover. His work has always been for the team, and he has a very good mentality."

"If 60 days ago someone told us we would win 5 of the 7 matches since I’ve been here, we would have said it's crazy, but the team has done it by believing in themselves."

"These points are ours and no one can take them away; we must be very proud of the players. We will try to extend this momentum as much as possible, but we need to maintain the same confidence when adversity arrives."

"We want to follow our own path, accumulate the points we need, and not look at others. We need to be consistent; if we weren't looking at the standings before, we are even less likely to now."

"I liked the team in the first thirty minutes, in the second half we lacked closing the game earlier, but I focus on the intent to score the third."

"A very encouraging victory that has made many people happy, a victory of growth and maturity."

"Jose Campaña gave us a lot; that pause and circulation we needed, just like Essugo. As I always say, we have to try to respond to what the game demands from us."
