Martínez acknowledged the challenge his team faces, describing Rayo as "a very intense and direct team. They recover the ball more than most teams in the league and are fast and vertical in their play.” He emphasized that Rayo has been consistent in their approach, and he’s aware of the difficulties of playing at Vallecas.

Martínez expressed confidence in his squad and reiterated that he sees improvement in their play. He’s focused on achieving the team’s goals while staying true to their playing philosophy.

Here are some of his key statements:

"I’m very happy with our daily work. We’ve made a lot of progress, but there’s still plenty to improve. Every point is hard to earn, and winning in La Liga is very challenging. I’m excited and optimistic about the future. I believe we’ll achieve our goal of staying in the league, even though the road will be tough."

"You can’t listen to all the outside noise; when you start focusing on consequences, you forget about what you need to do each day. We shouldn’t look at the standings too much—we need to stay focused on our path."

"We all need to believe. The support and energy from the people on the island are incredible and truly motivating. Recent performances have given us reasons to be satisfied."

"We’re really excited about what Moleiro can bring to the team and helping him develop his full potential. Right now, our focus is on Rayo. We’re ready to fight, battle, and give our best. We want to play good football and adapt to whatever the game throws at us."

"To get closer to winning, we need to keep doing the things we’re doing well, even if the progress isn’t always smooth. But above all, we need to improve the areas where we fall short. It’s a process that doesn’t happen overnight."

"Many of our players haven’t played at Vallecas before. We need to stick to our strengths and adjust as needed. We’re a team with personality and skilled players."

"We need stability and consistency, both in our performance and in our results. Euphoria and pessimism won’t help us on this tough journey, but stability and focus will. I believe in this team and in the hard work they’re putting in. The players give it their all."

"I hate losing more than I love winning; that’s been with me my whole life. It’s a mistake to think everything’s wrong in defeat and everything’s right in victory."
