Carrión: "We need to overcome this situation by rising above everything that's going wrong"

UD Las Palmas coach Luis Carrión addressed the team's loss to Celta, saying, "Right now, everything seems very difficult, and it’s normal for the fans to be angry. It's time to show character and get through this no matter what."

There are no reactions yet. Be the first!

Carrión assessed the game against RC Celta as "generally negative. In the first half, we were slow to press. In the second half, we came out better, then the red cards happened, but after that, we were too rushed, trying to force things by breaking lines. It was a tough day," he added.

Here are some of his statements:

"I’ve never given up on anything in life; I’ve always fought until the end, and that’s something I’ll keep doing. Right now, everything feels very tough, and I understand why the fans are upset. We need to show character and find a way through this."

"I think we could’ve made better decisions with our crosses and ball movement, but we didn’t."

"The attitude is always there. Everyone wants to win and do well, but I can see that we’re stuck in some simple things, especially from players who usually perform well. We need to help them play without fear of making mistakes."

"I don’t see myself as a victim. I’m part of this project and a significant part of why things aren’t going well. Tomorrow, it’s time to get back up and work."

"I don’t need anyone to tell me when things are bad—I know. What I need is to stay strong, keep working, and help the team step up."
