Valles and Moleiro, the draw's protanists at El Sadar (1-1)

UD Las Palmas secured a valuable point in their visit to Pamplona, drawing (1-1) against Osasuna in the thirteenth matchday of the league. The match had two protagonists for the Gran Canaria team. Goalkeeper Álvaro Valles made several notable saves, preventing the Navarre team from taking the lead. Later, Alberto Moleiro claimed the prize for his first goal in the top flight. The Tenerife native put Las Palmas ahead, although the joy lasted only a few minutes.

To face Club Atlético Osasuna, García Pimienta made just one change from the team that faced Atlético de Madrid a week earlier. The coach slightly altered the attacking structure, featuring the Guinean Sory Kaba in the starting lineup, while Moleiro began the match on the bench.

Las Palmas tried to assert their possession style in the game, but quickly encountered difficulties on Osasuna's turf. The first opportunities of the afternoon fell to Osasuna in the 12th minute. After a visitor's loss, Budimir had two dangerous attempts, but a leg from Mármol and a forced second goal attempt were unsuccessful.

Both teams approached the match with evident precautions, hinted at by their respective coaches the day before. Las Palmas struggled to feel comfortable with the ball but managed to pose danger in the first half through set-piece plays. A header from Sory Kaba from a corner and a free-kick from Saúl Coco, with a high shot, were the most viable attempts for the visiting team.

Osasuna continued to push in the attacking half. The spotlight at the Navarre stadium shone on Álvaro Valles in the 37th minute. The yellow team's goalkeeper preserved the clean sheet after thwarting the best chance of the first half, a header by Budimir from a Mojica cross. Valles reacted with reflexes and speed to glove the ball and deflect it for a corner.

The action repeated itself in the 48th minute, after another local shot by David García from a corner. Valles prevented the goal by gloving the ball before it crossed the last line of defense. Osasuna appealed, but VAR verified the extraordinary action of the yellow goalkeeper.

The match took a turn with the introduction of several bench players. Las Palmas took the lead with an excellent shot from Alberto Moleiro in the 69th minute. The Tenerife native scored from outside the box, finishing a counter-attack initiated by Javi Muñoz.

However, the joy lasted only four minutes because, in a crossed ball aimed at striker Budimir, Coco deflected the ball towards the Gran Canaria goalkeeper.

Osasuna continued their push until the end, and Las Palmas responded with counter-attacks, but the scoreline remained unchanged at 1-1.
