This afternoon, UD Las Palmas met with Norwich City, an EFL Championship team, at the club's headquarters, Carrow Road. Patricio Viayo, the general director, and Noelia Pérez, the marketing director, had lunch with the English club's Sam Jeffrey, the commercial director, and Gavin Beard, the marketing director, as well as Zoe Webber, the executive director of Norwich.

Norwich, recently demoted from the Premier League (and presently contesting play-off positions in the Championship), is commonly known as "the canaries," and the yellow colors used in their sports clothing represents this title.

The canary bird is the symbol of its crest, a famous picture popularized by the Dutch immigrants who helped shape the city's growth, coming with their cages and pets many centuries ago.

This visit to the club's facilities represented as a starting point and point of contact between the two entities, with the goal of developing future collaborations in the exchange of knowledge, new experiences in the areas of grassroots football or bilingual campuses, as well as promotional campaigns for both teams' fans.
