At the club headquarters and in the presence of Santi Lemus, the coordinator of CD Llamoro, Milagros Luis Brito, the project director for the UD Las Palmas Canary Foundation, and Yeray Sánchez, development director at the UDLP School, (Dir. de Desarrollo Escuela UDLP, the signing of the deal has taken place to prolong the relationship between both sides for the fifth year in succession, strengthening the UDLP Foundation’s own project through its football school on the island of Tenerife.
The UDLP School / Llamoro are currently working with around 300 boys and girls, at their facilities located at Llano del Moro (Santa Cruz de Tenerife). They currently run teams from pre-benjamín (aged 6 and above) tojuvenil (up to 19 years old) which also boasts a women’s team as one of the standout features of the setup. The UDLP School, DECOLUD’s (UD Las Palmas Constructive and Fun Development, in Spanish) own methodology, is implanted in the EUDLP / Llamoro through a large qualified technical team belonging to CD Llamoro which stays in direct contact with the managers of the school in Gran Canaria, both through its powerful intranet tool and periodic visits for training updates and for supervisory work.
This joint effort and ongoing passing of information between each party allows them to guarantee top quality teaching in the sport of football and the continual evolution of the players, enabling EUDLP / Llamoro to obtain not only competitive results but in social terms too within the club, encouraging families to get involved in the project through a range of different parallel actions, such as parental guidance talks, special open days, among many others.
