Máximo Perrone was introduced today as the new player for UD Las Palmas, with the Sporting Director, Luis Helguera, defining him as a "versatile midfielder who understands our style of play. When we started communicating, he was familiar with us and saw the potential for growth within our club. He's going to bring a boost in quality," he added.
Perrone mentioned in his statement, "Las Palmas has an ideal style of play for what I do, for ball possession and creating the game. La Liga has a gameplay system that tends to focus on ground passing and ball control, and my characteristics fit the competition."
The Argentine highlighted, "I chose to come because this club has placed a lot of trust in me, and I see myself being here."
"I've played in all parts of the midfield, and I feel comfortable. I'll be where the coach believes I can perform best for the team," said the new yellow player, who's already looking forward to making his debut: "I'm available to play tomorrow if the coach thinks it's appropriate."
"I've learned a lot and I've come here to keep learning; I'm very young. I've heard very positive things about this club, there are very good players. I believe I'm going to grow a lot here," Perrone said, assuring that "I don't think I need to prove myself, I just need to play and contribute. I'm happy to be here and help the team in whatever it needs."
Regarding his first interaction with his teammates in training: "It would be easy to talk about Jonathan Viera, but another player I've really liked is Kirian," he concluded.
