Pepe Mel recognises the difficulties of facing a team such as Rayo Vallecano because "they have the best squad in the league". He is confident his side will carry on their good run and hopes that "the fans enjoy a fine match with good quality football from both sides".
"I feel calm right now as a trainer should when things are going well", he said, adding "seeing the lads happy and enjoying their training makes the job so much easier".
UD Las Palmas found out who their next opponents will be in the second round of the Spanish Cup, as they will be paired with CD Badajoz, and although he is focused on tomorrow's match, Mel explained that he would like to "progress further in the competition because it is important that the whole squad gets playing time".
