McBurnie: "I'm here to bring experience and help the team."
The new forward for UD Las Palmas stated at his presentation that "I felt very welcomed on my first day with the team, I have good feelings, and I’m eager to play."
Oli McBurnie, the new yellow player, was introduced to the media in an event where UD Las Palmas was supported by its sponsor Volkswagen Canarias, at Ciudad Deportiva. The new squad member began his appearance by saying, "I learned of UD's interest and contacted Luis Helguera and the sporting direction. I’m very excited to start this new chapter."
Here are some of his statements:
"I don’t like to promise a specific number of goals; I just want to enjoy myself and help the team as much as possible with goals and assists."
"This is my first experience in Spanish football. I know the style of play will be different, but Las Palmas plays very similarly to Swansea. I hope to bring experience and help the team."
"The Las Palmas fans are very passionate; they’re always behind the team, and I love that. I enjoy having that connection with the supporters."
"Physically, I feel very good. I did pre-season with Sheffield, so I’m ready to help."
"I consider myself a classic striker. I’m skilled with both feet and think I can do a bit of everything. On my first day with the group, I felt very happy. Everyone is very nice and friendly. I have good feelings and am eager to start playing."
