Manolo Márquez signs in as new coach of the UD Las Palmas 1st Team
Manuel Márquez Roca (Barcelona, 7/9/1968) is the one chosen by the Sports Commission of the UD Las Palmas. The coach from the second team will lead the new project in the First Division of the UD Las Palmas in the season 2017-18. The architect of the best
UD Las Palmas entrusts to Manolo Marquez it's third consecutive season in in LaLiga, after proving in the second team his good doing beating historical records. This milestone is the latest in a professional résumé that has two distinctions so far; as the best coach of Second Division B, at the head of CF Badalona, between 2010 and 2012.
The new coach of UD Las Palmas is of Canarian descent since his grandfather was president of the Real Club Victoria, one of the five founding teams of UD Las Palmas, and his father was the prestigious doctor also from Gran Canaria Manuel Márquez Ramírez.
Manolo Márquez fulfills, as he has stated on several occasions, "the dream of my life, which is to train the UD Las Palmas”.
