Summer derbies between Tenerife and Las Palmas goes beyond friendship. The tonight´s one was not as electric as the matches held so far. Although sportsmanship prevailed. From the initial minute the intensity of the game was high with both squads eager to win the match. Tenerife, in the very first passes, seemed to performance better in the uneven field of the Antonio Dominguez Stadium in Los Cristianos. Las Palmas, in the other hand, prefered the elaborated game and many combinations. Its known identity in Laliga.

Manolo Márquez lined-up an eleven that could be in the first Laliga game against Valencia. With Boateng as forward, Jonathan Viera and Vitolo associated in the left side of the field, Las Palmas had attacks with some clarity but lack effectiveness.

At the beginning the match had many blunders, inaccurate passes, possession losses in zones where there was almost no pressure. Teams still are gaining its shape and the footballers lacks spark. The different quality level was obvious, especially when Las Palmas maintained the possession longer Tenerife were in trouble.
