UD Las Palmas' entrance to La Liga displayed patience and a willingness to take control of the match. García Pimienta's team immediately seized possession of the ball and distributed it with numerous passes against the organized Balearic lines, creating a game model fully recognizable to their fans. Calmness was needed to avoid mistakes and to find openings that could take them closer to goalkeeper Rajkovic.

The possession percentage for the yellows approached 80% in that initial segment of the match, although they couldn't uncover openings in the red wall they faced. However, in the 21st minute, a serious scare occurred in the Gran Canaria area. A through ball from the visiting team was seized by Dani Rodríguez, who shot in the box and hit the right post of Álvaro Valles.

That moment of uncertainty didn't alter the script on the hot afternoon for UD Las Palmas, as they immediately resumed their gameplay, heading towards the Curva Stand's goal. They found the net through a risky play for the visiting defense. Sandro penetrated the area and delivered a cross, but defender Copete stepped on the supporting foot of the attacker. The VAR Room alerted García Verdura about the foul, and after reviewing the play, the Catalan referee awarded a penalty, which Viera converted with an unstoppable shot for the 1-0 lead.

The advantage could have vanished 10 minutes later when the Catalan referee signaled a similar foul by Kirian on Amath in the Gran Canaria box. This time, the on-field referee made the decision, and Muriqi stepped up to face Valles from eleven meters. However, the Kosovar forward's shot hit the crossbar, and the score remained in favor of the home team at halftime.

In the beginning of the second half, Álvaro Valles stood tall in his goal. Morlanes found a deep pass in the 51st minute, but the Rinconada-born goalkeeper denied him with a diving save. The Curva Stand's fans rewarded their starting goalkeeper's intervention.

The definitive equalizing goal came from one of Mallorca's specialties. From a corner kick in the 69th minute, Raillo headed the ball out of the reach of the goalkeeper. The Balearic goal brought the match back to a level playing field.

Las Palmas reestablished the game scenario it needed after the 1-1 draw for a chance in the final stretch. In the 78th minute, Sandro found the ball in the box, but his shot lacked power. It was the best moment to regain the lead, but it slipped by the post.

Mallorca continued to create concern from their corner plays. However, the score remained unchanged, and the point-sharing was recorded in the match's official records.
