Las Palmas once again demonstrated their recognizable possession-based game against a rival that also showed its intentions of pressing and counter-attacking from the early minutes. Cádiz was the first to threaten the opposing area, with Cris Ramos' shot narrowly missing the target after a play by Machis.

Lemos also had a chance in the 9th minute, testing his right foot with a shot that was on target but saved by Cádiz's goalkeeper, David Gil, who handled the ball skillfully.

These early opportunities showcased the different approaches of both teams. Las Palmas sought patience in finding openings, while Cádiz aimed to recover the ball in the opponent's half.

Before the half-hour mark, Marc Cardona had another scoring opportunity for Cádiz. The UD striker received the ball in the corner of the box and was brought down in his attempt to dribble past defenders. However, the referee, Domínguez Cervantes, did not award a penalty, much to the displeasure of the yellow team.

The first half ended with a scare for Las Palmas. In the final counter-attack of the period, Cris Ramos found himself one-on-one with Valles. Nevertheless, the striker's shot missed the target, hitting the post. The score remained 0-0 going into the second half.

The long period of effort resulted in a brilliant goal by Sandro, just past the hour mark, after Las Palmas made significant substitutions. Positioned on the left side, the Gran Canarian forward received a pass from Moleiro and turned it into a work of art. He controlled the ball from outside the box and fired a perfect, curving shot that nestled into the far corner of Cádiz's net.

Las Palmas led with a 0-1 advantage, which Cristian Herrera almost expanded with a left-footed shot that Connan Ledesma caught at ground level.

The final challenge came when Enzo Loiodice received his second yellow card with 9 minutes remaining. However, Las Palmas didn't allow any opportunities for the scoreline to change, securing a 0-1 victory.
