The first notice from UD Ibiza arrived only 7 minutes into the game. Bogusz was able to position himself with the ball in front of goalie Alex Dominguez thanks to a slide by Saul Coco in the defensive zone. The Pole kicked hard, but the goalie blocked the shot with his body, keeping the scoreboard unchanged.

That play foreshadowed how uncomfortable the yellows would be in the first half, as they couldn't take possession of the ball, establish lengthy possessions, or go close to their goal.

It was established 1-0 after 21 minutes following numerous more moves by the local team and some more saves by Dominguez: Bogusz took advantage of the visiting goalkeeper's failure to control a ball hanging in his box finishing off the goal.

The 1-0 result was a jug of cold water that Garcia Pimienta's teammates attempted to balance, although with shots from outside the area. Because the Canarian combinations were unable to consolidate in a more favourable finishing position. Pejiño, Fabio, Viera, and Sandro were the leaders of the initial offensive activities that did not succeed.

Coach Garca Pimienta changed two players and the strategy at halftime, with Alex Suárez and Loiodice taking over while Alvaro Lemos and Marc Cardona entered the pitch.

A shift in the game was imminent. The first main protagonist in the second portion was Fuzato, who turned down a powerful shot from Sandro who was striving for the draw. A corner was created by the local goalkeeper's quick reactions in deflecting the ball.

But two things happened in the minutes that followed to change the situation. On the one side, the local Escobar's expulsion after receiving two yellow cards, and then the 1-1 draw with a fantastic goal from Sandro Ramirez.

The yellows gained momentum after Sandro's goal as they resolutely looked for the go-ahead goal. In order to stop the 1-2 play, Jonathan Viera was the one to apply pressure to a defender, steal the ball, go deep, and scored in the 61st minute. The game was where Las Palmas wanted it an hour later.

However, in the last minutes, UD Ibiza applied more pressure on Domnguez in set pieces. Nevertheless, the 1-2 remained unchanged, and the three points were awarded to Gran Canaria.
