UD Las Palmas Promotes Youth Football Development with MADCUP at the United Soccer Coaches Convention 2025 in Chicago
UD Las Palmas and MADCUP are working together to strengthen their ongoing commitment to youth football development by promoting the MADCUP tournament in Gran Canaria. MADCUP, participating for the third consecutive year in the United Soccer Coaches Convention, gathered more than 10,000 grassroots football coaches from around the world in Chicago from January 8 to 12.
The convention, recognized as the largest football coaching event globally, served as a platform to reaffirm MADCUP’s commitment to internationalization and its expansion into the U.S. market.
In this year’s edition, UD Las Palmas played a pivotal role as the official partner of the new MADCUP FOOTBALL GRAN CANARIA project, whose inaugural edition will take place from June 26 to 29, 2025.
This tournament aims to bring the success and values of MADCUP to Gran Canaria, highlighting UD Las Palmas’ strategic focus on fostering initiatives that integrate sports, education, and the promotion of fundamental values.
A Global Benchmark in Youth Football
In just four editions, MADCUP has established itself as one of the most prestigious youth football tournaments in the world, attracting teams from over 52 countries. The 2025 edition is set to break records with new participants from countries like El Salvador, Uruguay, and Costa Rica. Additionally, renowned international clubs such as River Plate (Argentina), Juventus (Italy), Tigres and América (Mexico), Fenerbahçe (Turkey), and Benfica (Portugal) will participate, ensuring a highly competitive environment for both male and female categories.
