Jaime Mata, New Player for UD Las Palmas

The forward and UD Las Palmas have signed a contract valid until June 30, 2025, with an option for one more season.

Jaime Mata Arnaiz (born 10/24/1988, Madrid) and UD Las Palmas have joined forces for the upcoming season, with an option for an additional year. The player arrives on a free transfer from Getafe CF, where he spent the last six seasons.

Jaime Mata has an extensive career in Spanish football, having played for clubs such as Rayo Vallecano B, Lleida Esportiu, Girona, Real Valladolid, and Getafe CF.

Additionally, he was an international with Spain, participating in the Euro 2020 qualifying phase in 2019.

With over 470 matches played in LaLiga, LaLiga Hypermotion, Primera RFEF, Copa del Rey, and the Europa League, Jaime Mata has scored 150 goals throughout his career, most of them with his last club, Getafe CF (46). In his final season with Getafe, the new yellow forward played 38 matches in the top tier and scored 6 goals.
