Alen Halilovic, on his presentation as UD Las Palmas’ new signing, declared "I am really happy to be here at UD Las Palmas, I think it is a very good career move and I am excited about the club’s intentions". Speaking at the Press room in the Estadio Gran Canaria, he stated "I love how Las Palmas play the game, I have watched many of their games and I like their footballing style".
As for his characteristics and his playing ability, he pointed out that “I can play either in midfield or on the wing. I like both positions and am happy to play wherever the trainer needs me to, if he wants me for the Valencia game I am ready to go", he stressed.
Sports manager Toni Cruz was delighted with the arrival of the Croatian international: "We have worked really hard to bring Alen here. I think all parties are satisfied with the deal, negotiations have taken a long while, and we are really grateful for the willingness of the player and those around him. We are highly satisfied with the team’s season so far and the squad we are putting together", he stated.
