Diego Martínez: "Our performance in Barcelona has been excellent—two games, two victories. We must keep building on this confidence."
The UD Las Palmas coach spoke to the media following their match against CE Europa.
After the game at the Municipal Nou Sardenya Stadium, where UD Las Palmas secured a win against CE Europa, Diego Martínez commented: "We knew what we were coming here for. It was a match where the team put in a great effort. The only downside is that we could have scored much earlier."
"I’m very pleased with the players who have been getting fewer minutes," the coach added.
Here are some of his key remarks:
"We knew it was going to be a tough match. The pitch made everything more difficult. The team did what they had to do and showed great focus. The only thing lacking was finishing efficiency."
"Our two main objectives are to keep improving as a team and continue growing both individually and collectively."
"The overall balance from our time in Barcelona has been extraordinary. Everyone is important and necessary. The players approached both matches with a strong mentality. Each game tells a different story and demands different things."
"What you can control—your mindset and how you approach the game by giving your best version—I think we did that very well."
