Christian Rivera (born Gijón, 9th July 1997) goes to Girona FC on loan. The club will be obliged to buy the player outright if they are promoted. The loan deal runs to the end of the season following agreement by all parties, once UD Las Palmas and CD Leganés negotiated the loan deal for the player.
Rivera, who has been on loan CD Leganés since the start of this season, has played a total of seven league and cup matches there. He came to UD Las Palmas in the 2018/2019 season from SD Eibar, although the season before that he had been on loan to FC Barcelona’s reserve side. His contract runs until 30th June 2022 at UD Las Palmas.
Rivera learned his trade at the youth set-up at Sporting de Gijón. In 2014 he signed with Real Oviedo, making his debut on 16th May 2015 against Coruxo. His first goal in senior football was on 17th October 2015, in his third Second Division match, between Real Oviedo and Alcorcón. He signed for SD Eibar on 1st July 2016.
