Christian Rivera (born Gijón, Asturias, 9th July 1997) learned his football in the youth set up at Sporting de Gijón. In 2014 he signed for Real Oviedo, making his debut on 16th May 2015 against Coruxo. He scored his first goal in professional football on 17th October 2015, in his third game in the Second Division, when Real Oviedo faced Alcorcón in the Estadio Carlos Tartiere, and his was the winning goal for his team in a final score of 3-2. On 1st July 2016 his signing for SD Eibar was confirmed.
He is due to arrive in Gran Canaria this evening around 21:45, on a flight from Oviedo. On Wednesday he will undergo his medical at the Hospital Perpetuo Socorro and will be unveiled in front of the press at 12:30, in the press room at the Estadio Gran Canaria.
