Álvaro Lemos (born Santiago de Compostela, 30th March 1993) is UD Las Palmas’ latest new signing for the next three seasons. The Galicia-born player comes to the club from Real Club Celta de Vigo, although he spent the second half of last season out on loan to CD Lugo.
The right sided defender began his footballing career early on at the Deportivo de la Coruña youth set up, whom he joined at the age of 12. In the 2014/2015 season he was loaned out to SD Compostela, and when the season ended, he left on a free transfer to CD Lugo. In June 2016 he signed for RC Celta de Vigo who sent him out on loan to French side Lens. He finished the 2017/2018 on loan to CD Lugo.
The player lands in Gran Canaria at 22.30 tomorrow night on a flight from Madrid. He will undergo a medical at 9.30 on Thursday, and will then be unveiled at 13.00 at the headquarters of Domingo Alonso Gran Canaria (C/Luis Correa Medina 23).
