Álex Muñoz was presented this morning to the media gathered at the Barranco Seco facilities. The new yellow team player was accompanied by Luis Helguera, the club's sporting director, who began the press conference by saying, "He is a left-back, although he can also play as a central defender. He will provide us with height and more area defense."

For his part, the new player said, "The negotiation took place at the end of the season. I was at another club, with which I spoke, and as long as there was a chance of promotion, I wanted to stay focused there. But when those chances ended, I didn't think twice."

Some of his statements:

"My first impressions are very positive. There is a great squad and a good locker room. There is a very good atmosphere, which helps day by day. I see a lot of quality, dynamism, and everyone is giving their all, both those who were already here and the new signings."

"My main objective is to get into the best possible shape for the start of the league. We have a lot of workload ahead, with double sessions, to start a season that will be very demanding. That's all I'm thinking about, and when the league begins, it will be another stage."

"In the last two years, I've alternated between playing as a central defender and a left-back, which was my position last season. I'll adapt to what the coach wants; I can play both positions perfectly."

"I know Las Palmas has a great fanbase because I've experienced it from the other side. It's a fanbase that provides a lot of support, is loyal to their team, and follows them with great enthusiasm and motivation. All I can say to them is that we will give our all to keep doing things well, both those who have been here and those of us who have come to play."
