Aarón Escandell, the new goalkeeper of UD Las Palmas, was unveiled this morning in the press room at the Ciudad Deportiva. He began by saying, "I have a very positive outlook on this first week working with the team. As soon as I arrived, I got minutes in the friendlies, and fitting in so well makes everything easier."
"I didn't lose my cool; I'm here, and that's what matters. I decided to come because it's the top division, there's a very important project behind it, and a great playing style," he added regarding his arrival at the club.
Aarón said he doesn't feel any pressure, stating, "I came here to contribute and help my teammates. I'll fight for the team's collective goals, and hopefully, I can have a great year."
Regarding his initial impressions working with the team, he highlighted, "What caught my attention the most is how we dominate possession throughout the match and play from the back; it's a plus."
He was clear in asserting, "Starting in the lineup is not a question for me; I came here to work and be one of the team. I'm here to compete and fight alongside my teammate Álvaro, to improve myself and improve together, and then the coach decides."
