Luis Carrión: "We all have room for improvement and can do better."

Luis Carrión reflected on today's match, saying, "The feeling is like a loss, and I understand that, but it shouldn't be. We need to keep working and aim for victory. There's a lot of room for improvement, especially in the mental aspect."

There are no reactions yet. Be the first!

After the draw against Real Betis, Luis Carrión spoke to the media gathered in the press room at Estadio Gran Canaria. He stated, "I think we had good moments in the first thirty minutes. Without wanting to take too many risks, we ended up losing some balls, which allowed them to dominate us a bit more."

Some of his key statements:

"When we don't have the ball, we get anxious because it's something we don't like. As a coach, I see that the team put in a great effort. We need to have the right mentality; to win, we need to play like we did in the first few minutes today."

"Our mistakes are costing us dearly. When you're off-target in attack and give away possession in defense, it's normal for the other team to beat you. We need to work on improving these things."

"Dário put in a great effort but got tired, his calf cramped up, and he couldn't continue. Sandro felt something, so we'll wait for the tests to see if he'll be available on Monday."

"We've been clear about our style from day one. I think we've conceded a lot of goals due to a lack of competitiveness or some tactical details. Today they had more chances, but we defended those situations in the box better."
