García Pimienta: There were good attacking situations, but we need to create more

UD Las Palmas' coach expressed after the defeat at Mestalla that: From the bench, you can't see anything, but VAR calls the referee and they deemed it a penalty.

There are no reactions yet. Be the first!

García Pimienta appeared in the press room at Mestalla Stadium after the loss against Valencia CF: "I feel bad about not getting any points because we weren't inferior to Valencia."

Some of his statements:

"Considering the match from the beginning and taking into account Lemos' good performance last week, we decided to give him continuity. It's true he had some issues in the first half, which is why we introduced Julián. He was going to provide us with new energy."

"The team played very well, but we need to get closer to the opposing goal, be much more penetrating and vertical, even if we can't finish the plays, generate many more dangerous situations."

"Today Julián has a different profile than Lemos, and Benito's final minutes have given us more depth on the left flank. I think with the addition of Sory Kaba, the profile of our forwards changes."

"I'm very satisfied with how the squad looks at the moment. There are still a few days left in the transfer window, and if there's an option we believe can help us, we will bring them in. It has to be a very specific player that we think can assist us."

"I believe Valencia is one of the giants of Spanish football. When there are as many changes as there are with such young players, they need time to adapt. Their intent to move forward, even indirectly through the penalty, led to their victory."
