García Pimienta: It's a match that requires a lot of personality, patience at specific moments, and verticality.

The UD Las Palmas coach emphasized: We've been talking for a while about wanting to promote to the first division to play in these types of fields, and this should motivate us even more.

There are no reactions yet. Be the first!

García Pimienta appeared in the press room at Ciudad Deportiva on the eve of the match that will pit UD Las Palmas against Valencia CF. He began his statement by indicating: "We must allow fewer set-piece opportunities. And if it happens, we need to be more focused, mark the opponents, and have contact to prevent them from heading the ball as Raillo did last week. We have a certain profile of players, but even last year we didn't have much height and conceded very little."

Regarding the opponent, Valencia CF, he highlighted: "There's talk that Valencia isn't as strong as in previous years, that they have young players, they need to sign new players, and some might leave. But they went to Seville last week and won 1-2. Valencia is a big, historic club that works well with its youth academy."

Some of his statements:

"We lack height, especially when facing a team like Mallorca or other teams in this league that have a lot of tall players. I'm not saying we want all 6'3" players now, as our style of play might be different. But I'm certain that we have a height deficit, and when you face these types of teams, you have to endure."

"Mika Mármol was training and I'm not worried about his condition, but it was hasty to put him on the field last week. Everyone is ready to play if I deem it appropriate. Pejiño is a first-team player, he has the same chances as his teammates. I always consider what I believe is best for the team in each match. Last week, he had a chance to play, but Mallorca's equalizing goal changed my plans."

"It will be a completely different match from the previous one. Valencia has a top-level team, but if we perform well, we'll have more chances to reach the opposing goal. I'd like our key players to step up when facing younger opponents."
